Introductory Post

This blog was setup as a part of the requirement for a Continuing Education course that I'm taking from the Sloan Consortium. The idea here is to blog my learning experiences related to podcasting.

The journey started when a student suggested that I add audio content to my HCAD660 class. I contacted the University Help Desk and was directed to some resources, including a professor who had done this before.

After purchasing Podcast Factory at the educational discount, I spent the latter part of the winter trying to figure it all out. In January, I made my first audio file and uploaded it to Webtycho. I later found out that this isn't technically a podcast since it doesn't involve a blog & RSS feed.

My delighted students then suggested that I should add video content to the audio files, so I downloaded Impatica and struggled to get it up and running. After some experimenting I finally got that to work and narrated the Powerpoint, and again, uploaded it to the classroom.

Then I decided to take the Sloan-C workshop, and the first part of the assignment was to create this blog....Done!
